EGM Privacy Statement for applicants
In this privacy statement we want to inform you about the way in which EGM deals with the personal details of applicants.
Privacy rights of the applicant
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) EGM wants to inform you about:
- the personal data that we process from you;
- the way in which we do this;
- how long we keep your data;
- how the security of your data is regulated.
We also want to inform you about your privacy rights as an applicant and who to contact for questions or complaints.
Personal data can be direct information (name, address, date of birth) but also indirect information (personnel number, e-mail address, telephone number, etc.). The processing of personal data concerns all actions such as collecting, recording, altering, storing, using, distributing and the like.
Why does EGM need your personal data?
EGM processes your personal data for one of the following reasons;
- to decide whether EGM wants to enter into an employment contract with you;
- entering into and / or performing the employment contract;
- from a legitimate interest, such as internal communication.
Which data does EGM process and for what purpose?
EGM processes the following information from applicants:
- name, first names, initials, title, gender, date of birth, address, postcode, place of residence, telephone number, e-mail address and other data needed for contact;
- followed courses, courses, internships;
- job you are applying for;
- information or documents supplied by you (eg CV and portfolio).
The processing the personal data is done for the following purposes:
- assessment of suitability for a job;
- internal control and operational safety.
Are you obliged to provide information?
Upon commencement of employment, you are obliged to provide information that is necessary for the execution of the employment contract or to comply with legal obligations. If you refuse to provide this information, we can’t hire you.
Transfer of your personal data
EGM uses your personal data during the application process only for EGM and the goals as described above.
The storage of your personal data
EGM does not store data longer than necessary for the processing purpose, with due observance of the statutory retention periods. Within 4 weeks after rejection or termination of the application procedure your data will be deleted or with your permission one year after rejection or termination of the application procedure.
Security of your personal data
EGM has regulated the security of your personal data at an adequate level through administrative, organizational, physical and technical measures. These measures are adjusted if necessary in response to developments and possibilities.
Your privacy rights
Under the AVG you have the right to EGM to:
- to obtain access to your data;
- correction of incorrect information and / or supplementation of information if necessary for processing;
- deletion of data, if this is not in contradiction with a legal retention period, or the necessity to execute the employment contract or a legitimate interest of EGM;
- the reduction of data that we process (the EGM's aim is not to process it any more than necessary);
- object to certain use of your data;
- submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. We appreciate it if you contact us beforehand to see if we can solve your complaint.
