A variety of office spaces, meeting areas, and conference rooms surround the central atrium, creating spatial connections between them.
On the Vorstengrafdonk business park in Oss, a sleek and modern office building has been constructed with a simple appearance. The storage facilities and offices are integrated into a single volume, enveloped in prefabricated concrete sandwich elements interspersed with large windows. An atrium behind the entrance enhances the clarity of the office area and provides a visual link between all functions.
The new premises for the family-owned company Gebr. van der Donk consist of a singular structure housing both the office and warehouse. The aim was to create a technically straightforward and simple design that reflects the company and its operations. For this reason, the interior remains largely unfinished, with all connections and installations left visible.
The exterior features prefabricated concrete sandwich elements, aluminium frames, and Profilit glazing arranged in a strict geometric rhythm. This no-nonsense, functional, and businesslike approach reflects how Gebr. van der Donk wishes to present itself to its surroundings. Behind the entrance façade lies an atrium, where the reception serves as a central hub.
All functions are spatially interconnected, encouraging informal interactions among users and between users and business partners. Natural light and air penetrate deep into the building, contributing to a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.
A mix of office spaces, meeting areas, and conference rooms surrounds the atrium and is designed with transparency in mind. From the central space, the warehouse is also accessible, serving both as a development area and a storage facility. In summary, this is a transparent, light, and functional building that inspires open collaboration among its users.
