EGM architects has appointed Frank Morel as an associate architect. With this move, the firm is strengthening its focus on the sectors of public buildings, government, and work environments. Frank has been with EGM for over 12 years.
In his designs, Frank strives to create buildings that touch, stimulate, and inspire people on a deeper level. A building that functions well serves as the starting point, but is not the end goal of the design; “Above all, I try to create stimulating and inspiring places—buildings where you don’t just have to be, but where you really want to be.”
Frank works from an integrated approach in which urban planning, architecture, and interior design—depending on the project—reinforce one another. He does this based on the conviction that the impact of architecture extends beyond the building itself. Take, for example, the impact on the city of the new city hall in Oosterhout. And in the same way, architecture influences the quality of the interior—and vice versa. That is why he seeks collaboration with related disciplines at an early stage. This integrated approach is clearly evident in recent projects such as the new ASML Run 1000 office complex, the renovation of the Moreelsepark office building, and the new Radboudumc Main Building.

n addition to his work on his own projects, Frank will be involved agency-wide in monitoring and further developing design quality and innovation in the design process.
With the appointment of Frank Morel, EGM now has seven associate architects and three associate directors. They are helping to shape the firm’s vision of creating sustainable, meaningful, and healthy buildings across all sectors, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
